Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter flying above a crowded southern California shoreline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers looked on.
Footage shared on the internet capture the helicopter starting to spin over the beach then plunging towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a staircase near the coastal road.
First Aid Information
Local firefighters reported five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
